Ebonyi State Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, saying it has delivered tangible results across key sectors despite ongoing economic and security challenges.

The governor spoke on Monday at the Government House in Abakaliki while receiving members of the Grassroots Advocacy for Tinubu, led by its founder, Mrs Hanmo Akume.

Nwifuru described President Tinubu’s leadership as marked by courage and competence, arguing that the impact of federal policies and programmes was visible nationwide.

“I am happy with this initiative of mobilising support for our President because he has done very well,” the governor said. “The positive changes the President has brought are evident. There is no sector where you will not see the impact.”

He praised the group’s grassroots mobilisation efforts, noting that such engagement would help consolidate support for the President and the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The governor urged members of the advocacy group to intensify public engagement, particularly at the community level, to highlight what he described as the administration’s achievements and the need for policy continuity.

Nwifuru also pointed to what he termed inclusive governance, saying federal projects and appointments had been fairly distributed across the country.

“There is no state where you will not see federal government projects,” he said. “For Ebonyi State, this represents a significant shift, as we now have several ongoing federal projects and appointments.”

He assured the delegation that President Tinubu and the APC would enjoy strong support from Ebonyi State in the next general elections.

Earlier, the Director-General of the group, Prof. Ochugudu Achoda, said the visit coincided with the inauguration of the organisation’s South-East chapter.

According to Achoda, the group aims to mobilise grassroots support by engaging directly with communities, youths and women, while clarifying government policies and addressing public misconceptions.

He also commended the Ebonyi State government for projects he said aligned with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and had direct impact on residents’ livelihoods.
