Some people have been arrested for leaking information to terrorists about the locations and movements of troops in and around Abuja.

According to PRNigeria, the four informants are being held by a security agency.

Their arrest followed an investigation into the July 5 breach of the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Kuje.

Other recent Abuja attacks, such as the ambush of Army personnel, including the Presidential Guards Brigade, are also being investigated.

The suspects were apprehended in possession of walkie-talkies, a revolver, knives, amulets, and old Chinese-made phones that do not use data.

According to an intelligence officer, they are being interrogated in order to determine their ties to terrorist groups, bandits, and other elements.

“While the military has refused to provide updates on the attacks on Kuje Prison and troops at the Bwari and Zuma Rock axis, the joint security task force killed more than 70 armed criminals.”

The operative confirmed that those killed include “dangerous Kuje prison escapees and terrorists”.

The intelligence operation on the attacks on security personnel and formations is being coordinated by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA).
