Nigerian business magnate Tony Elumelu recently welcomed President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu to his home in Lagos for a meeting to discuss ways to support and empower Nigerian youth.
Elumelu, who is a well-known youth advocate, shared the news and pictures of the meeting on his Instagram page, expressing his honor in receiving the president-elect.
He also noted that both he and Tinubu share similar goals for the Nigerian youth.
Tinubu has outlined his plans for the youth in his campaign manifesto, “Renewed Hope,” where he emphasized that the youth are a vital force in the nation and should not be exploited by the government.
He promised to provide them with a platform to achieve their aspirations and to implement a comprehensive policy for their social, economic, and political empowerment.
Elumelu, through his foundation, the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), has already empowered 10,000 African entrepreneurs over ten years, and he remains a strong advocate for youth empowerment.
The meeting between the two influential figures brings hope for the youth of Nigeria as they look forward to the incoming administration’s promises.
