Former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Okey Wali, SAN, who was abducted by kidnappers, has been released.
It is believed that Wali is receiving medical attention at an undisclosed location.
The former NBA President was reportedly still in the custody of his kidnappers as of last night, but was released earlier today.
Wali was abducted at gunpoint on April 17th while travelling along the Obiri Ikwerre flyover on the East-West Road in Port Harcourt.
One of his aides was reportedly killed in the incident, while two policemen were seriously injured.
The current NBA President, Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, OON, SAN, recently visited Wali’s family in Port Harcourt and expressed concern over the unfortunate incident.
