In a positive development for the Nigerian economy, the naira demonstrated strength against the US dollar on Tuesday.

At the Investors’ and Exporters’ window, the naira exchanged at the rate of N464.50 per dollar, a slight improvement from the previous close of N464.51 on May 26.

Meanwhile, the open indicative rate concluded the day at N464.10 against the dollar, indicating a relatively stable performance.

During the day’s trading, the naira reached its highest rate of N467 to the dollar before settling at N464.50. Conversely, it also reached a low of 460 naira to the dollar.

The total value of trading at the official Investors and Exporters window on Tuesday amounted to $120.36 million, reflecting robust activity in the foreign exchange market.
