Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has issued a directive to freeze all bank accounts belonging to the Enugu government, effective immediately and until further notice.
The statement, signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Chidiebere Onyia, on Tuesday in Enugu, confirmed the implementation of the directive, which came into effect on May 30.
In accordance with the governor’s instruction, all Enugu state government accounts across various banks in the state have been frozen with immediate effect, pending further instructions.
The freezing of the government accounts aims to temporarily halt financial transactions until additional information or instructions are provided.
