In a meeting that marks their second encounter within 72 hours, President Bola Tinubu warmly received former governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers state and David Umahi of Ebonyi state, alongside Senator Godswill Akpabio, the favored candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Senate Presidency.
Wike, in a statement to reporters after the previous meeting, clarified that his visit was solely intended to express support as a patriotic Nigerian, dismissing any rumors suggesting his intention to defect to the APC.
While the exact purpose of the latest meeting remains undisclosed, speculations suggest it may be related to discussions surrounding the forthcoming inauguration of the 10th Assembly, scheduled to take place later this month.
