As Nigeria’s Muslim faithful join the global celebrations of Eid-el-Kabir, Senator Godswill Akpabio, President of the Senate, conveyed his warm greetings and urged Muslims nationwide to reflect upon the fundamental principles of the occasion: love, obedience, and perseverance.

In a goodwill message delivered yesterday by his office’s Media Unit, Senator Akpabio called upon all Nigerians to discard bitterness and animosity, embracing instead the values of love, unity, and faith during this festive period.

He emphasized that only through an environment of peace and tranquility can the country’s governments effectively tackle the current economic challenges.

Furthermore, the President of the Senate reassured Nigerians that concerted efforts are underway at all levels of government to alleviate the economic hardships faced by the populace, including the recent elimination of fuel subsidies.

Senator Akpabio declared, “Under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, our administration is collaborating closely with relevant agencies to steer the country toward a path of prosperity and greatness.”

Urging citizens to utilize this period for prayer on behalf of the nation’s leaders, Senator Akpabio underscored the nonpartisan nature of the current economic difficulties, stating, “The leadership of this country requires the prayers and support of every individual, regardless of their political, religious, or ethnic affiliations. Economic hardship knows no boundaries, and it is incumbent upon all of us to unite and salvage the situation for the betterment of Nigerians both at home and abroad.

As the Eid-el-Kabir festivities continue, Senator Godswill Akpabio’s message serves as a reminder of the significance of love, obedience, and perseverance, as well as the collective responsibility to foster unity and pray for the nation’s progress.
