Adunni Ade has revealed that she quietly welcomed a daughter two years ago, explaining that she chose to keep the birth private to protect her peace and experience motherhood away from public attention.
In a post shared on Instagram to mark her birthday, the actress said the child, named Baby Sal, had been born two years earlier but kept out of the public eye intentionally.
She described the period as deeply personal and emotionally demanding, saying it involved “silent battles” and a private journey of growth.
“This wasn’t an easy journey. It came with silent battles, moments that tested me, and a strength I had to grow into,” she wrote.
Adunni said the decision to avoid public disclosure was deliberate, adding that not every aspect of life needs public validation.
“We chose privacy. Not because we owed anyone secrecy but because peace is priceless,” she said.
Addressing speculation, she insisted that her decision had not caused any family breakdown or scandal, stressing that her daughter’s birth was peaceful and intentional.
“No single home is or was broken in the making of our Baby Sal,” she wrote.
The actress also drew a distinction between her public persona and private life, noting that much of her personal journey remains unknown to the public.
The announcement has since drawn widespread congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues across social media.
