The Allied Conservative Congress (ACC), a political movement with a conservative ideology, has called on President Bola Tinubu to prioritize merit and competence in his appointments, setting aside political and ethnic sentiments. Speaking in Abuja on Saturday, the ACC’s National Chairman, Rev. Olusegun Peters, emphasized the importance of experienced leadership to address Nigeria’s economic challenges, ensure political stability, and maintain public order.
Rev. Peters stressed that the current state of the nation—marked by confusion in governance, widespread hunger, and growing public discontent—requires urgent and effective action. He urged President Tinubu to appoint qualified individuals to key positions to revitalize the economy and meet the needs of the people.
The ACC also announced that its presidential ticket for the 2027 elections would be open to all candidates, without zoning or ethnic considerations. The party pledged to field credible candidates who can restore trust in government and guide Nigeria towards progress and development.
Rev. Peters called on Nigerian youths to prepare for the 2027 elections, encouraging them to demand competent leadership. He assured that the ACC is committed to restoring Nigeria’s lost glory and prosperity, promising a new direction for the country through patriotic leadership and effective governance.
