Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma has affirmed that Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) remains united, stronger, and fully supportive of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking to journalists after the party’s caucus meeting, chaired by President Tinubu at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja on Tuesday, Uzodinma dismissed claims that the APC operates as a “one-man show.” He emphasized the party’s inclusive structure, which features diverse representation across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and a broad-based leadership framework.

“Our party is united, stronger, focused, and supportive of the government. We need to celebrate our own,” Uzodinma said. “The government is heavily supported by the APC, and from time to time, we must show that we are behind the government.”

The governor credited Tinubu’s leadership with boosting revenue generation and enhancing infrastructure and social change. He also lauded progress in tackling insecurity, citing improved safety in Zamfara and the return of farmers to their fields in the southeast.

The meeting brought together key figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje.

With the recent launch of the Progressive Institute to bolster the intellectual capacity of its members, the APC aims to solidify its position as “the party to beat” not only in Nigeria but across Africa, Uzodinma said.
