Ebuka Igwe, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) House of Assembly candidate for Idemili South state constituency in Anambra state, has claimed that many political parties in the area supported the Obi-dient movement during the presidential election, even though they were not members of the Labour Party.

Speaking to reporters at his Alor polling unit, Igwe praised the voter turnout but noted there had been pockets of violence in some APGA strongholds.

He clarified that while he and others supported Peter Obi during the presidential election as part of the Obi-dient ideology, they were not members of the Labour Party.

Igwe expressed confidence in his own chances of winning the House of Assembly seat, citing his legal background and grassroots support as key advantages.
