Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta insists his side will not back down in the Premier League title race, even after falling 11 points behind leaders Liverpool.
Saturday’s 1-0 loss to West Ham was a bitter blow, but Arteta dismissed any talk of surrender, saying, “Over my dead body.”
“Mathematically it is possible,” Arteta said. “The difficulty is higher than three days ago, but if you’re going to win the Premier League, you have to do something special.”
The Gunners face an uphill battle, but Arteta believes that overcoming the odds could etch their season into Premier League history.
