The Concerned Patriotic Citizens Forum (CPCF) has criticized the Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for blaming Governor Dauda Lawal of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the state’s ongoing insecurity issues. CPCF President Comrade Moses Toro condemned the APC’s accusations, asserting that the current security challenges were inherited from the previous APC administration.
In a statement, Toro called the APC’s attempt to shift blame “preposterous,” noting that the insecurity in Zamfara worsened under the previous APC government. He emphasized that Governor Lawal has taken significant steps to address these issues in his short tenure, unlike the lackluster efforts of the former administration over eight years.
Toro’s statement rebuked the APC’s claim that Governor Lawal was neglecting the state’s security concerns while attending a PDP Governors’ Forum meeting in Enugu. He argued that such criticisms mock the victims of the ongoing crisis and fail to acknowledge the proactive measures being implemented by the current governor to restore peace and security in Zamfara.
