Jonathan Majors, known for his role in Creed III, has been arrested on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment, according to the New York Police Department.

The 33-year-old actor was reportedly involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman on Saturday in Manhattan’s Chelsea district.

The victim informed police that she was assaulted, leading to Mr. Majors’ brief arrest.

The woman suffered minor head and neck injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Mr. Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, stated that the actor is “completely innocent” and that evidence, including video footage and witness testimony, will prove his innocence.

This incident occurred just weeks after Mr. Majors presented an award at the Oscars and follows his recent success in films such as The Harder They Fall and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
