Under the new structure, civil servants at grade level 2 will now earn a minimum wage of ₦75,000. Those at grade level 3 and above will see a general increment of ₦40,000. The revised wages will be effective from Monday, October 28, 2024.
The Governor also announced the appointment of two key industry heads to boost state development. Dr. Obinna Ezenkwa has been appointed General Manager of the Umuoghara Pulverization Plant, while Barrister Uchenna Otuh will lead the Ezzamgbo Pipe Production Factory. Governor Nwifuru emphasized the appointees’ expertise and urged stakeholders to support their efforts in advancing these industries for the state’s economic growth.
