In a recent development, the Department of State Service (DSS) has called upon the suspended Chairman of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, to appear at their office.

The announcement was made by Peter Afunanya, the Public Relations Officer of the DSS, who stated that Bawa arrived a few hours ago and the invitation is related to ongoing investigative activities concerning him.

This action comes after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu indefinitely suspended Bawa on Wednesday night.

The suspension follows allegations of abuse of office and fraud that have been leveled against him.

Willie Basse, the Director of Information at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), revealed that the purpose of Bawa’s suspension is to facilitate a thorough investigation into his conduct while in office.
