In a recent development, the former Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Pauline Tallen, was reportedly subjected to intense questioning by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on allegations of a N2 billion fraud.

The interrogation took place late into Friday night, as per reliable reports.

According to a source, Mrs. Tallen responded to an invitation and arrived at the EFCC’s Abuja Zonal Command around noon on Friday.

The investigation by EFCC officials continued throughout the day, extending late into the night.

While specific details regarding the accusations against the former minister remain unclear, an insider familiar with the case disclosed that they revolve around allegations of corrupt enrichment amounting to N2 billion.

Notably, a portion of the funds in question is said to have been diverted from the African First Lady Peace Mission Project.

Efforts to obtain confirmation from the Commission’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, were unsuccessful as he could not be reached at the time of reporting.
