Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has responded to the alleged shooting incident in Sabon Gero community by ordering a full investigation into the matter.
The incident involved the Kaduna Vigilance Service (KADVS) allegedly shooting citizens who were trying to prevent the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA) from carrying out demolitions in the community.
The Chief Press Secretary, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, stated that Governor Uba Sani expressed deep concern about the incident and directed the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation.
The governor emphasized his commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens and stated that the incident goes against the principles of his administration’s manifesto, which prioritizes safety and security.
Governor Uba Sani called on all parties involved to remain calm and law-abiding during the investigation.
He emphasized that his administration upholds the rule of law and will not tolerate any actions that violate the rights of citizens or undermine the peace and security of the state.
The governor also urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
