Comrade Julius Abure, national chairman of the Labour Party, has appointed veteran Nollywood actress Hilda Dokubo to head a three-person steering committee for the party’s Rivers state chapter.
This was stated in a letter signed by Abure on March 9th.
The letter was addressed to Professor Mahmood Yakubu, national chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The decision to appoint the Dokubo-led panel followed the expiration and subsequent dissolution of the three-month-old Rivers state Labour Party caretaker committee led by Deinye Pepple.
