The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the postponement of the date for the 2023 UTME mock examination.

The mock exam, which was initially scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 16, 2023, will now hold on Thursday, March 30, 2023.

According to Fabian Benjamin, the spokesman for JAMB, the date change was partly due to the gubernatorial and state assembly elections scheduled for March 18, 2023.

Candidates who registered early and indicated their willingness to take the mock UTME will receive notifications on when to print their mock-UTME notification slip, which will include information about their centers.

The mock-UTME is an optional examination introduced by JAMB to give candidates hands-on experience with the system and to allow the Board to assess its readiness and that of its partners for the main UTME. The main UTME is scheduled to take place between April 29 and May 12, 2023.

JAMB also announced that the 2023 UTME will feature a number of ground-breaking innovations designed to address observed infractions and center failures.

JAMB urges all candidates to be diligent in their preparations and adhere to all examination guidelines.
