A Magistrate Court in Lagos State has adjourned the case of three passengers accused of unruly conduct aboard Air Peace Flight No. P4 7579 from London to Lagos on February 12, 2025.

The defendants—Adewale Adedigba (52), Magnis Ashibuogwu (50), and Iwunze Benjamin (30)—allegedly caused a disturbance by shouting loudly, creating panic among passengers and crew. Authorities say they also illegally moved from economy class to business class without authorization.

Their actions were deemed a breach of public peace under Section 168(1)(d) of the Lagos State Criminal Laws (2015) and a violation of the FAAN Bye-Law (2005), Section 4(1)(a)(b).

Upon landing at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, the trio was arrested and later arraigned before the Airport Command’s Magistrate Court. Prosecution counsel SP Oladipupo Taiwo emphasized the need for strict enforcement of aviation laws to prevent similar incidents.

The court did not immediately record the defendants’ plea and adjourned the case to March 3, 2025, for hearing. If convicted, the accused could face fines or imprisonment.
