Nigerian Army and Navy troops engaged in a firefight with armed individuals at identified IPOB/ESN (Indigenous People of Biafra/Eastern Security Network) camps in Ejemekuru, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State. The troops neutralized five armed men, recovering weapons, including one AK-47 rifle, two Pump-action Semi-automatic rifles, and other items. In a separate operation in Zamfara State, troops successfully rescued 15 kidnap victims in Tsohuwar Tasha, Kaura Namoda Local Government Area. The vigilant troops responded swiftly to a distress call, engaging the kidnappers in a shootout, resulting in the rescue of all abductees unharmed. The Nigerian Army emphasizes its commitment to addressing security challenges across the country.
