Garba Muhammad, Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Department, NNPC, stated in a statement on Monday that this normally occurred during long public holidays, hence the Sallah celebrations.

Another factor leading to the unexpected appearance of lineups, according to Muhammad, was increased fuel purchases, which were also prevalent among FCT residents returning from public vacation

“In collaboration with their marketing partners, the NNPC and the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority have taken the required steps to increase load-outs from all depots

“We tell all inhabitants of the FCT, and indeed all Nigerians, that we have enough local supplies and national stock totaling more than 2.5 billion litres, with a 43-day supply.”NNPC says low load-outs at depots responsible for sudden fuel queue supply.”
