Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to supporting security agencies in tackling escalating insecurity across the state. Speaking to residents and journalists, the governor emphasized that the protection of lives and property remains the foremost duty of government.

“We have been working tirelessly with all security agencies to ensure that Ondo State remains safe for all residents,” he stated, highlighting ongoing efforts to equip the police, Amotekun Corps, and other agencies with vital resources. The governor detailed investments in intelligence gathering, surveillance, and logistics, and noted that plans are underway to procure modern security equipment such as trackers and drones to enhance operational capabilities.

In a separate address, Governor Aiyedatiwa welcomed the recent Supreme Court ruling that upheld his election victory, describing it as a strong affirmation of the credibility of Nigeria’s judicial system. “We have received justice from the highest court of the land,” he remarked. He also urged opposition figures, including the PDP governorship candidate, Chief Agboola Ajayi, to collaborate with his administration to drive the state forward.

“Save time and resources by working together for the development of our state. If you have any ideas, bring them to the table so we can utilize them for the benefit of our people,” he added.

The governor’s remarks underscore his administration’s commitment not only to improving security but also to fostering unity and progress within Ondo State.
