The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers, describing him as a model of resilience and calm leadership whose conduct continues to inspire the party nationwide.

In a statement issued Wednesday in Akure, the caretaker chairman of the chapter, Chief Bakkita Bello, welcomed Fubara’s return to office “after a political distraction meant to derail the will of the people.”

Bello said the people’s mandate in Rivers “cannot be taken,” adding that the governor’s return was “a victory for democracy and a reaffirmation of the popular will.”

“You have once again demonstrated resilience, calm leadership and faith in constitutional governance — qualities that continue to inspire our party across Nigeria,” the statement read.

The chapter praised Fubara’s “unwavering commitment to peace, development and service” despite political challenges, describing him as “a beacon of hope to lovers of democracy and good governance.”

Bello added that the PDP in Ondo stood “solidly with the governor in prayer, solidarity and goodwill,” expressing confidence that Rivers would “continue to thrive in unity, prosperity and progress” under his leadership.
