Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has given his approval for a free train ride to be provided to indigenes of the state who are in Lagos and other South West states and wish to celebrate Easter with their families in Osun State.

According to a statement released by the Governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the project dubbed “Imole Free Train Service” will commence from the Iddo Terminus in Lagos on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 10am.

The train will make stopovers at designated train stations in Ogun and Oyo States to pick up passengers and is scheduled to arrive at the Nelson Mandela Park Train Station in Osogbo by 6pm.

The Governor’s spokesperson emphasized that the Imole Free Train Service is aimed at providing succour to citizens of the state who are travelling home to celebrate with their loved ones.

He further stated that the administration of Governor Adeleke remains committed to offering free train service for indigenes of the state during festive periods.

The return trip from Osogbo to Lagos is scheduled for Monday, April 10, at 10am.

In light of this development, citizens of the state have been urged to take advantage of this opportunity to visit their families and loved ones in Osun State and partake in the Easter festivities.
