The Plateau State government has announced a relaxation of the 24-hour curfew imposed on the Jos/Bukuru metropolis, allowing residents to move freely between 2 pm and 6 pm daily.

This decision comes after an improvement in the security situation, according to a statement by Gyang Bere, Director of Press and Public Affairs to Governor Caleb Mutfwang. The governor, following consultations with security agencies, praised their efforts in maintaining order and urged continued vigilance.

Governor Mutfwang emphasized the importance of cooperation with security personnel and reporting suspicious activities to prevent any potential breakdown of law and order. He assured the public of the government’s commitment to their safety and well-being, thanking residents for their cooperation and patriotism during the curfew.
