President Bola Tinubu has landed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the commencement of the Saudi-Africa Summit, slated for Friday, November 10.
Greeted warmly by ministers, National Assembly members, and other government officials upon his arrival, President Tinubu’s visit holds paramount importance. Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesman, emphasized that this visit will bolster the administration’s ongoing economic reforms on the domestic front.
The inaugural Saudi-Africa Summit promises in-depth discussions centered around fostering collaborative efforts, strengthening political ties, and tackling regional security challenges head-on. One of the key focuses will be the advancement of economic transformation through research and the local development of innovative energy solutions. This initiative is anticipated to stimulate cross-sectoral investment cooperation, driving economic progress.
Accompanying President Tinubu on this diplomatic venture are notable figures including Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prof. Tahir Mamman, the Minister of Education; and Mr. Wale Edun, the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance. Additionally, the delegation comprises Malam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA); Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA); and Malam Jalal Arabi, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON)
With the conclusion of the Saudi-Africa Summit, President Tinubu is set to return to Abuja, marking the culmination of this significant diplomatic engagement.
