Paris Saint-Germain forward Desire Doue has been ruled out for several weeks after sustaining a muscular injury during the club’s 1-1 Ligue 1 draw against Lorient, the French champions confirmed on Thursday.
The 20-year-old, who was stretchered off on the hour mark at Stade du Moustoir, suffered a right thigh lesion, PSG said in a statement. “A new update will be provided after the international break,” the club added.
The injury means Doue will miss key fixtures, including next Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich and the November 26 home tie against Tottenham. He will also be absent from Ligue 1 encounters against Nice and Lyon.
Doue’s setback comes shortly after he returned from a six-week layoff due to a calf injury sustained on international duty with France. The young forward had impressed since his comeback, notably scoring a first-half brace in PSG’s 7–2 rout of Bayer Leverkusen in Europe last week.
The French prodigy’s absence is another blow to PSG as they navigate a packed schedule across domestic and continental competitions.
