President Bola Tinubu has expressed confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership’s ability to drive national progress and contribute to Africa’s growth.
Speaking at the APC Caucus meeting on Tuesday at the State House in Abuja, Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to the party’s Renewed Hope manifesto, emphasizing the importance of achieving not just food security but full food sovereignty for Nigeria.
“I am a very happy man; the sunny side of this country is on the horizon. Things are getting better; the days of gloom are gone,” Tinubu said, adding that Nigeria could lead Africa toward greater prosperity.
Addressing criticism of his administration’s policies, including the controversial fuel subsidy removal, Tinubu said the decision was necessary to prevent economic collapse and ensure targeted government interventions.
“Our determination to deliver is unshaken in spite of the cacophony of misguided, unfounded, and gloomy claims by our detractors,” he said.
He praised APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, for the party’s electoral successes and lauded improvements in security, particularly in Zamfara State, as highlighted by Sen. Abdulaziz Yari.
The president urged APC members to remain patient and supportive, promising to stay focused on delivering progressive change.
