After intense talks involving President Bola Tinubu, Ondo state officials, APC members, and stakeholders, the political deadlock in Ondo has been successfully addressed. The resolution, brokered at Aso Rock Presidential Villa, follows the state assembly’s attempt to impeach Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, prompting legal challenges and escalating tensions in the absence of Governor Akeredolu. Tinubu’s intervention led to a commitment from Aiyedatiwa to collaborate with all parties, and Speaker Oladiji Olamide pledged to halt impeachment moves. President Tinubu further ordered the withdrawal of police from the Ondo State House of Assembly.
