The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of two individuals in a crash on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway early Saturday morning. Mr. Williams Manga, FRSC Unit Commander, reported that the accident occurred at 7:10 a.m. near the Mammy Market Barracks, involving a Toyota bus and a Bajaj motorcycle.
According to Manga, the motorcycle riders died instantly, while one bus passenger sustained injuries and was taken to Badagry General Hospital for treatment. Excessive speed was identified as a likely cause of the collision.
Manga urged motorists to reduce their speed on the often congested one-lane highway, highlighting ongoing FRSC efforts to educate drivers on safe driving practices. He emphasized, “This command has repeatedly warned against excessive speeding and will continue to remind motorists of the dangers.”
