The Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across the country on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, marking the birth of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).

In a statement on Wednesday, Umahi said the celebration serves as a reminder of the Prophet’s moral teachings and enduring message of peace, unity, love, and harmony—values he described as vital for national cohesion and development.

“These are societal standards that will preserve our nation’s social quality and economic sustainability in line with the Renewed Hope agenda of unlocking Nigeria’s abundance and prosperity,” the minister said.

He prayed for joy and blessings for all Nigerians, expressing hope that the season would strengthen the bonds of faith and humanity.

“May God send His love like sunshine to fill every corner of your heart with happiness and joy, and may He shower His choicest blessings on all who celebrate sincerely,” Umahi said.

The minister also conveyed the best wishes of his family, the management, and staff of the Federal Ministry of Works to Muslim communities nationwide.
