AC Milan has announced that Zlatan Ibrahimovic, their star forward, will be leaving the club following their last game of the season against Hellas Verona this Sunday.

The Serie A side will hold a farewell ceremony for the 41-year-old Swedish player.

In a statement, AC Milan expressed their gratitude to Ibrahimovic for the incredible time they have had together.

The footballer returned to Milan in 2019 and played a crucial role in their Serie A triumph last season.

Unfortunately, Ibrahimovic’s participation this season has been limited due to a string of injuries.

He has made only four appearances, starting just one match and scoring a single goal. As his contract expires at the end of June, AC Milan has decided not to renew it.

During his illustrious career, Ibrahimovic has represented renowned clubs such as Malmo, Ajax, Inter, Barcelona, Paris St-Germain, LA Galaxy, and Manchester United.

He had previously won the league title with AC Milan in 2011 before rejoining the team.
