Imo State Police announced the successful elimination of the Second in Command of the IPOB Eastern Security Network (ESN) during a heated gunfight. Acting on intel obtained from suspected IPOB/ESN members connected to the killing of the Ahiazu Mbaise DPO, the police, led by CSP Oladimeji Odeyeyiwa, raided the hideout of the syndicate at Umuogu Amuzu in Aboh-Mbaise LGA.
The encounter resulted in the death of the notorious Second in Command, known for their activities in the Mbaise axis. Other gang members escaped with gunshot wounds, and ammunition was seized. The Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, commended the operatives for their efforts in combating violent crimes, emphasizing the commitment to a secure Imo State during the Yuletide seasons.
