Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, called on Nigerians to unite in supporting President Bola Tinubu in addressing the escalating insecurity in the country. Speaking in Osogbo, Oyintiloye emphasized the need for collective efforts to find solutions to the growing security challenges.

Expressing concern about the alarming rate of insecurity, Oyintiloye urged Nigerians to refrain from negative criticisms that could distract President Tinubu from tackling the pressing issues. He emphasized the importance of rallying behind the president and his administration during these challenging times.

Oyintiloye, a former member of the defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council, condemned recent incidents of killings, banditry, terrorism, and kidnapping across the nation. He acknowledged President Tinubu’s commitment to restoring peace and security, asserting that the president was doing everything within his power to address the situation.

While discouraging divisive politics and name-calling by leaders of opposition parties, Oyintiloye stressed the need for stakeholders to come together, irrespective of political affiliations, religion, or ethnicity. He emphasized that security is a collective responsibility that requires a united front to confront and resolve.

Commending President Tinubu’s swift approval of funds for security agencies to acquire modern equipment, Oyintiloye suggested the development of community-based security frameworks. He called on the president to encourage governors to take proactive measures in their states by establishing community security networks to support conventional security agencies.

In conclusion, Oyintiloye emphasized the importance of a cohesive approach to national security, urging leaders across the political spectrum to prioritize the well-being and safety of all Nigerians.
