Petrol scarcity has intensified in Lagos and its environs, leading to long queues at filling stations as motorists and other users scramble to purchase the product. Despite assurances from the National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Abubakar Maiganda, that members have been unable to lift the product for days, the spokesman for NNPC Limited, Femi Soneye, stated that there are no supply issues, and products remain readily available.
The conflicting statements raise concerns about the actual state of petrol supply, with consumers experiencing challenges in accessing fuel. The situation highlights the need for effective communication and coordination within the petroleum distribution chain to address the growing scarcity and provide clarity to the public.
