Access Holdings Plc has appointed Mr. Innocent Ike as its substantive Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 29, 2025, following regulatory approval.
The company confirmed the appointment in a notice to the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) signed by its secretary, Sunday Ekwochi. Mr. Ike succeeds Ms. Bolaji Agbede, who has led the firm in an acting capacity for the past 18 months.
Agbede, who will revert to her role as Executive Director, Business Support, was praised for steering the group through a period of transition following the death of former Group CEO Herbert Wigwe in February 2024. During her tenure, the company completed a N351 billion rights issue and successfully hosted two annual general meetings.
“Her leadership and strategic vision have not only maintained the Company’s momentum but also strengthened its competitive position in the industry,” Ekwochi noted.
Chairman Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede described the leadership transition as a pivotal moment. “We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Innocent Ike as we move forward. At the same time, we want to express our deepest gratitude to Ms. Bolaji Agbede. Her outstanding contributions over the past 18 months have been invaluable,” he said.
