Nottingham Forest earned their first Premier League win under Sean Dyche with a 3–1 comeback victory over relegation rivals Leeds United at the City Ground on Saturday.
Forest fell behind in the 13th minute when Lukas Nmecha drilled a precise low strike into the bottom corner, but Ibrahim Sangare quickly equalised two minutes later with a sharp finish from close range.
Morgan Gibbs-White completed the turnaround midway through the second half, heading home Omari Hutchinson’s teasing cross in the 68th minute. Hutchinson then won a stoppage-time penalty, which substitute Elliot Anderson converted to seal a much-needed win.
The result marked Forest’s first league triumph since the opening weekend of the season, when they beat Brentford under former boss Nuno Espírito Santo. Dyche’s men ended a nine-match winless run in the league and moved within a point of safety.
It was also Dyche’s first Premier League victory since taking charge last month, having previously earned a point in a 2–2 draw with Manchester United.
Leeds, meanwhile, remain just two points above the drop zone after suffering their sixth defeat in 11 league games.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa continued their strong form with a 4–0 demolition of Bournemouth, while Newcastle’s away struggles deepened following a 3–1 defeat at Brentford. Crystal Palace and Brighton played out a goalless draw at Selhurst Park.
Later on Sunday, Manchester City will look to close the gap on leaders Arsenal to four points when they host champions Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.
