Chioma Adeleke, wife of Afrobeats star David Adeleke — better known as Davido — has spoken about the singer’s unwavering commitment to her personal ambitions.
In an interview with Noire TV, which began trending on Saturday, Chioma, widely known as Chef Chi, described Davido as deeply intentional about her growth, even in the face of her challenges.
“David cares a lot about my dreams,” she said. “I’ve faced a lot of challenges over time, but he would always ask me, ‘Chi, apart from all of this, what do you actually want to do?’ Then we would have plans and have stuff coming out in the next few months. He really cares about my personal dreams.”
The couple, who held their traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024 after a private court ceremony in March 2023, are preparing for a grand white wedding in Miami. Davido has said the event will be nothing short of extravagant, with over $3.7 million already spent on preparations.
Their relationship traces back to their university days, a romance that has since grown into one of Afrobeats’ most high-profile love stories.
