Dalori Takes Over APC Leadership, Pledges Unity and Loyalty to Tinubu

Body:
Following the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ali Bukar Dalori has formally assumed office as Acting National Chairman, vowing to lead with humility, inclusiveness, and unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu.

Addressing members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) on Monday in Abuja, Dalori acknowledged the directive of the president and the legacy left by Ganduje, who stepped down to focus on his health.

“We are all aware of the significant contributions Dr. Ganduje made during his tenure,” Dalori said. “Since his assumption of office in August 2023, he provided our party with experienced leadership, steadfast commitment, and a clear sense of direction.”

He praised the former chairman’s efforts to stabilize the party and pledged to build on his groundwork. “On behalf of the entire APC family, I express our heartfelt gratitude to him and wish him full recovery and strength,” he added.

Dalori’s tone was conciliatory and forward-looking. “This is a period for consolidation — not conflict. For maturity — not division. And for vision — not personal ambition,” he stated, positioning himself as a stabilising force in a party facing growing internal rivalries ahead of the 2027 elections.

He also called on party members to focus on strengthening internal processes and reconnecting with the grassroots, describing the coming years as pivotal for the party’s survival and relevance.

Reaffirming the APC’s alignment with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Dalori said, “The APC remains the political vehicle to drive this transformation, and we will stand by the president in full loyalty and partnership.”

As the party gears up for a new phase under Dalori’s interim stewardship, much will depend on his ability to manage competing interests within the APC while rallying support for Tinubu’s ambitious reform agenda.
