In shedding light on the ongoing discord with Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara, Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike expressed his views, subtly labeling Fubara as an ingrate.
During a media parley on Friday, Wike remarked on the crisis in Rivers State, suggesting that money and power reveal a person’s true character. He stated, “Let me tell you, I don’t like ingrates; I can’t stand it. What is happening now is what Odili said in his book ‘give a man power and money, then you will know the person.'”
Wike, undeterred by the situation, highlighted his political experience and asserted, “I know what other states are suffering because of debt, but go and check if I had liabilities, the records are there.”
He mentioned leaving projects for Governor Fubara to commission, emphasizing his disappointment in the current state of affairs.
Concluding his statement, Wike touched on the use of legal means to address issues, stating, “I use the instrumentality of law to fight not thugs, time will come.”
