In a bid to support farmers and stimulate economic growth in commercial agriculture, Hon. Clement Akanni Olohunwa, representing Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila federal constituency, has empowered 200 cocoa farmers with a generous ₦10 million.
Each farmer received ₦50,000 to enhance their farming businesses in the Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila federal constituency. Speaking at the event held at Ila City Hall, Hon. Olohunwa highlighted the significance of a comprehensive training program for farmers, focusing on modern agricultural techniques and best practices in cocoa cultivation.
He emphasized that such initiatives not only strengthen the cocoa industry but also contribute to socio-economic transformation, showcasing a model for empowering agricultural sectors nationwide.
The cash injection aims to enable farmers to invest in their farms, access better resources, and diversify income streams, ultimately improving their livelihoods.
