A helicopter crash occurred on Friday night near the California-Nevada border, approximately 60 miles south of Las Vegas. The Eurocopter EC130 helicopter, carrying six people, crashed around 10 p.m. local time near Nipton, California. As of Saturday morning, no survivors have been located, and authorities are investigating the incident. The crash site, east of Interstate 15 near Halloran Springs Road, was reported to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department at 10:12 p.m. The National Transportation Safety Board (N.T.S.B.) and the Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) are conducting investigations, with N.T.S.B. representatives expected to arrive at the site on Saturday.

The crash involved a Eurocopter EC130 helicopter that was reportedly headed to Las Vegas when it crashed near the border city between Nevada and California. The tragic incident resulted in the death of the Executive Officer of Access Holdings and five others. This marks the second fatal helicopter crash in California within a week, following a Navy chopper crash during routine training in Pine Valley. The Eurocopter EC130 was registered to Orbic Air, a Burbank-based tour company. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, informed of the downed aircraft near Baker after 10 pm on Friday, has been unable to confirm the number of people on board or their names, with no survivors located as of now.
