Lionel Messi, the Argentine football legend, is set to make a move to Inter Miami in the United States following his departure from Paris St-Germain, the reigning champions of France.

The former Barcelona player has chosen to reject a more lucrative offer from Al-Hilal, a Saudi Arabian team. The agreement with Inter Miami involves collaboration with prominent brands like Adidas and Apple.

At 35 years old, Messi, a forward, has been awarded the title of the world’s best player a remarkable seven times and is expected to win it again later this year after achieving success in the World Cup.

This marks the first time that the iconic Messi will be playing outside of Europe.

A transformation from a shy genius to a “bad boy” leader, Messi’s journey in Qatar is explored in a new documentary.

Additionally, a documentary delves into Argentina’s World Cup victory and the destiny that led Messi there.

Initially, Messi had hoped to continue playing in Europe for another season.

However, since no satisfactory offers were received, he was left with a straight choice between Inter Miami and Al-Hilal.

There were strong indications that he favored a move to Saudi Arabia, where he would have joined Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in the league, in a deal that couldn’t be matched financially.

Ultimately, Messi was enticed by the opportunity to join Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami for various reasons, including lifestyle factors, as well as a deal that extends beyond football with major brands.

He already owns a house in Miami, which he currently rents out.

While he had expressed interest in returning to Barcelona this summer, the Financial Fair Play restrictions that will be in effect for the next season in La Liga made any ambitious plan to bring him back impossible.

During his time at Paris St-Germain, the team won Ligue 1 in both seasons, but their exit in the Champions League round of 16 was seen as a disappointment.

Messi scored 32 goals in 75 games for the club and finished this season with 16 goals and 16 assists in Ligue 1.

Messi’s two-year contract with Paris St-Germain is coming to an end this summer, and both parties agreed to part ways.

In May, the forward was suspended for two weeks due to an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia.

Messi’s legacy primarily stems from his time at Barcelona, where he won numerous accolades and became the club’s all-time leading scorer with 672 goals.

He secured 10 La Liga titles, four Champions Leagues, and seven Spanish Cups.

Additionally, he achieved his dream of winning the World Cup with Argentina in December.
