On Monday, the Nigerian naira appreciated in the official market, trading at N1,607.15 to the dollar. This marked a gain of N9.93, or 0.61%, from the previous trading rate of N1,617.08 on August 2. The data comes from the FMDQ Exchange, which oversees the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM).

However, the total daily turnover saw a decline, dropping to 77.09 million dollars from the 131.55 million dollars recorded on August 2. At the Investor’s and Exporter’s (I&E) window, the naira traded within a range of N1,620.50 to N1,570.00 against the dollar.
