**Nigerian Leaders Urged to Show Empathy Amid Difficult Times**

Political officeholders have been urged to exercise empathy and end exploitative practices against citizens, particularly during these challenging times. This call was made by Elder Apostle Samson Odesanmi, the Baba Aladura of Land Canaan Worldwide, during the ordination and installation of former Osun State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Timothy Owoeye, as Minister-in-Charge of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Oke-Iro, Ilesa.

Odesanmi emphasized the importance of political leaders adhering to religious teachings, advocating for service rooted in compassion. He encouraged leaders to restrain their pursuit of wealth and warned of the consequences of ignoring the struggles of ordinary Nigerians. “The people deserve empathy from those in public office,” he stated. “Leaders must be considerate of those fighting for survival and remember that judgement day will reveal all deeds.”

Praising Timothy Owoeye as a dedicated servant of God, Odesanmi advised him to prioritize his spiritual commitments over worldly distractions, stressing that Owoeye’s service to God should continue despite his public role.

In response, Owoeye expressed optimism, describing the current challenges as temporary and calling on citizens to support the present administration with prayers. He assured attendees that, with collective support, Nigeria would overcome its trials.

The event attracted notable figures, including Osun State House of Assembly Speaker Hon. Adewale Egbedun, NIWA Managing Director Bola Oyebamiji, Executive Director of the Federal Housing Authority Engr. Remi Omowaye, and former commissioners Adeleke Adebayo and Sunday Akere, among others.
