The Northern Youth Council of Nigeria has called on the Nigeria Customs Service to visit and condole families that lost relatives during the sale of seized rice in Lagos. The group expressed concern that some of those killed were breadwinners, and their families were now left as orphans and widows.

They urged leaders to prioritize the lives of Nigerians and called on the Customs to compensate the affected families. The group also lamented the plight of farmers in the North who face challenges accessing their farms due to insecurity and called for advocacy for good governance.
