Oba Rasidi Ladoja, the Olubadan-designate, returned to his family compound in Isale-Osi, Ibadan, on Monday afternoon, where he was received with jubilation by relatives and well-wishers.
The former Oyo State governor arrived at 1:20 p.m. to a warm welcome that marked the beginning of formal celebrations leading up to his coronation.
A special interfaith prayer session, combining Muslim and Christian rites, was held in his honour shortly after his arrival.
Oba Ladoja is expected to move later in the day to his Bodija residence, where further preparations for the traditional coronation rites are underway.
